Ray has been involved in the insurance field since 1985. He was Vice President of Sales for Independent Life and Health, Rockford, IL from 1986 until 1999. From 1999 until 2007 he was CEO of Midwest Life & Health Group, LLC. On January 1, 2007 Midwest Life & Health merged with Williams-Manny, Inc and was named Division Vice President of Williams-Manny Midwest.

He has extensive experience in the specific stop loss insurance marketplace with multiple clients ranging in size from 50 to 850 employees. He also has governmental insured business with Counties within the state of Illinois. He has long term career business clients in both Illinois and Wisconsin.

Ray has Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Wisconsin System. He was involved on the Special Events Committee with On The Waterfront for 9 years as well as a member of the Rockford 2000 Committee. He is a past member of the Guilford High School Booster Club as well as a member of the School Improvement Committees at both Spring Creek Grade School and Eisenhower Middle School. Ray's wife, Janet, is a teacher at the Rosecrance Griffin Williamson Campus for the Rockford School District. She is a graduate of Illinois State University with Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Education. They are the parents of twin 23-year sons who graduated from college in 4 years and are working in Milwaukee, WI and Chicago, IL.
